We are parents of an 11 yr old girl and a 2 1/2 year old girl. Our 11 yr old is homegrown and our 2 1/2 yr old is adopted from Haiti. She has been "officially ours" since 4/08. She has been ours in our heart since 11/06 when she was brought to the US for surgery and we were her host family.

thanks so much for the comment on our blog... I felt kind of cruddy once I decided that I shouldn't bring them to the airport- like I was chickening out or something. But they haven't seen me upset before- so I know it would really confuse them and worry them- and I don't think they need that right before their big day!
